Carousel Club: Vinyl Companion app privacy policy

Carousel Club: Vinyl Companion (the Carousel app) is a companion app for vinyl owners made by Carousel Club, based in the Netherlands. This policy explains what the app stores about you, why, and how to delete it. It covers the Carousel app only. For our online shop, see the Carousel Club shop privacy policy.

What we store

When you create an account and use the app, we store:

Your email address, so you can sign in. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use the email address to identify your account.
What you enter in the app: your turntable, cartridge and other gear; your records (artist, album, vinyl style and colours); your moods; your wishlist; your stylus fitted date and listening hours; routine care dates; which Vinyl Ghosts you own; your colour scheme and country.

We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or payment details, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Why we store it

Only to run the app: to sign you in, to keep your data the same on every device, and to show advice that fits your gear. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or show ads.

Who processes it for us

Supabase stores your account and app data on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
Resend sends sign-in emails with your one-time code.
Google handles "Continue with Google" if you choose it.

These companies process your data only to provide their service to us.

Links to shops

The app links to shops (for example, for a replacement stylus). Those links open the shop's own website, which has its own privacy policy. Some links may be affiliate links. That doesn't change the price you pay, and we don't share your app data with those shops.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and everything you've stored in the app straight away.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
